'Yes, These Are My People: The Legacy Series' introduces the concept of liminality to further explore the traditional spiritual believe that human beings are made up of perceptible and imperceptible parts. A concept which can be found throughout sub-Sahara Africa and the African Diaspora such as Haitian, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Suriname  and Louisiana.

By placing the focus on the essence of his subject, the artist is attempting to extract an artistic representation from photographs that capture a state of existence that is neither here nor there and serves. The series was created to serve as a reminder for the need to practice the veneration of our defunct ancestors.
